Employment Services

The Employment Services team provides consultative services to the University community in the areas of recruitment, search and hire and classification and compensation.  The Employment Services team collaborates with hiring departments to address organizational changes and current and future staffing requirements; advises departments on recruitment strategies designed to develop a diversified workforce; develops and updates existing job specifications and conducts position audits; advises administrators on various compensation issues; and provides guidance in interpreting and applying policies, procedures, state merit system regulations, union contracts, and state and federal employment laws.  In addition, the Employment Services team provides career counseling and transitional services for employees as well as applicant counseling for individuals interested in employment at the University of Connecticut.
