Administrative Clerical Bargaining Unit (NP-3) UCONN Geographic Transfer List Procedures


In accordance with the NP-3 contract the Department of Human Resources has established a transfer list for current permanent University employees represented by the NP-3 bargaining unit.  Employees interested in transferring to a specific geographical work location within the University will complete the AFSCME Transfer Form and submit a signed copy to the Department of Human Resources.  Hiring departments will be required to review applications of those members on the transfer list when filling vacancies prior to filling through outside hire.

The Administrative Clerical Bargaining Unit (NP-3) UCONN Geographic Transfer List Form can only be used by permanent UConn Administrative Clerical employees requesting an addition, removal or update to the Administrative Clerical Bargaining Unit (NP-3) Geographic Transfer List for the University of Connecticut.  The transfer request must be to a different geographic location (not within the same geographic location) and to the same classification as the employee’s current classification.

Required forms to add or update a geographic transfer request:

  2. UConn Application for Employment

Submit forms to the Department of Human Resources, Unit 5075.  Human Resources will contact employees on the transfer list as job openings are approved.  Please note that applications are kept on file for six months, after which time a new application should be submitted.
