Obtain approval from the Provost’s Office regarding rank, discipline, appointment terms, salary range, etc.
Identify search committee chair and members of the search committee.
Develop a comprehensive advertising and recruitment plan that will generate a talented and diverse applicant pool.
Develop a position announcement and job advertisement(s) that includes clearly defined and measurable minimum and preferred qualifications.
Determine applicant evaluation procedures and criteria to be used by the search committee and/or hiring managers.
Develop a timeline for the search process including a target date by which an offer will be extended
Obtain appropriate approvals in RSA.
