New Employee Orientation

It is with great pride and excitement that we welcome you to the University of Connecticut, New England's #1 public university. Here at UConn, we all work together to ensure we build a sense of community among our employees, and students. To that end, it is a priority of the Department of Human Resources to help orient you to the programs, services, and benefits available to you in your new position.  As a new employee you will be given an overview of the UConn which includes our points of pride, guiding documents, resources and policies as well as important information on your paycheck, employee benefits and parking.

New employee orientation is held from 9:00 AM - 12:30 PM each Payroll Friday throughout the year, with the exception of holidays. All new employees are strongly encouraged to attend. The program is held in the Allyn B. Brown building on the Depot Campus.

Please check in at the front desk upon arrival.

To request an accommodation under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), to attend any program course or session listed on this site, University employees are encouraged to contact Human Resources at HR-OSD@UConn.edu.
