The University of Connecticut maintains a reciprocal tuition agreement with the following New England Land Grant Institutions:
- University of Rhode Island
- University of Maine at Orono
In-state tuition is extended to the dependent children of eligible employees at the above two institutions, who are enrolled in an undergraduate degree program at the University of Connecticut.
In-state tuition is extended to the dependent children of eligible employees at the University of Connecticut, who are enrolled in an undergraduate degree program at the University of Rhode Island or the University of Maine at Orono.
The program is made available to the dependent children of faculty and non-teaching unclassified staff, who are on the regular payroll at their institution.
The employee must be employed a minimum of 50%.
The student must be the dependent child of an eligible university employee as defined by the IRS rules of dependency.
The student must be matriculating into an undergraduate program.
The benefit applies to Fall & Spring semesters only.
The benefit allows for the waiver of out-of-state tuition only. Students are expected to pay the in-state tuition cost along with any additional fees charged.
UConn employees must submit a separate e-mail request to the Provost’s Office for each child, in advance of each semester, to participate in the benefit.
General University fees; or any other fees.
Intersession, summer session, and graduate classes.
