Your Health
Medical
The State of Connecticut offers UConn employees and their families a choice of medical plan with little or no cost each time you receive care from providers in the nationwide network of Blue Cross Blue Shield providers. The premiums for the coverage vary based on which plan you select, who in your family you cover, your hire date, and your job.
Prescription Drugs
When you enroll for medical coverage, you are automatically enrolled for prescription drug coverage through CVS/Caremark. The copayments range from $0 to $40 for up to a 30-day supply of non-maintenance drugs or 90-day supply of maintenance drugs.
Dental
You will have a choice of three dental plans through CIGNA that cover a broad range of services, including free preventive care visits for you and your family.
Fitness
Fitness and physical activity classes are available at many campuses. In addition, gyms and fitness centers with close proximity to our campuses offer special pricing to UConn employees.
