The UConn School of Pharmacy offers challenging programs in pharmacy practice and the pharmaceutical sciences, leading to the Doctor of Pharmacy degree, or the Ph.D. degrees in the pharmaceutical sciences. Our Doctor of Pharmacy graduates serve the health needs of Connecticut and the nation as experts in medications and medication management, while our Ph.D. graduates pursue advances in drug discovery, delivery, and development in the industry setting. Faculty are national leaders in outcomes research through our AHRQ-fund evidence-base medicine center. Our faculty are also nationally recognized for drug development, as evidenced by their extensive funding through the National Institutes of Health and the pharmaceutical industry, particularly through the $10 million Program in Innovative Therapeutics for Connecticut's Health collaboration with Yale University and UConn Health. The school has also been recognized for its commitment to community engagement with a focus on improving the health of Connecticut's citizens.
