Working Test Period Extensions – Classified Employees

I am writing to remind you that a request to extend the Initial Working Test Period of a classified employee must be received in this office at least 4 weeks prior to the end of the probationary period. Since State Personnel requires 3 weeks written notice from the agency, it is imperative that enough time be allowed to process the paperwork. PLEASE NOTIFY ALL SUPERVISORS OF THIS PROCEDURE.

Failure to provide adequate notice may mean that the extension request will not be approved by Labor Relations.
