The Workforce Solutions (WS) Team in UConn’s Office of Human Resources consists of staff charged with serving as partners to all academic and administrative units on HR matters.
The Team provides:
- Consultation in navigating various HR services in organizational structure and design;
- Position classification and job assessment, compensation, workforce planning and management, staffing assessments, and talent acquisition services.
The Workforce Solutions Team collaborates with University leadership on a range of staffing matters such as retention and succession planning, connects managers and leaders to other HR services offered, and administers Special Payroll.
The Team supports departments with search and hire activities, job advertising, recruitment strategy, attendance at job fairs and other outreach to attract diverse candidates. The Workforce Solutions Team supports individual applicants and existing employees through job counseling and career development services. Lastly, the Team manages the PageUp Applicant Tracking System, providing user support, troubleshooting, and reporting for academic and administrative units.
